Basketball (Boys and Girls) Summary Kilgour offers boys and girls basketball teams for grades 3-6. Teams are organized by grade. Practices begin Nov. 1 and the season runs from late November to early March. The emphasis is on fun, player development and positive teamwork. Leagues and Links The girls play in the Eastern Hills Girls Basketball League (www.ehgbl.org). The boys play in the Southwestern Ohio Basketball League (www.swohiosports.com). Check out their websites for information on organization, schedules, rules and regulations, coaching information and forms. Player Registration Registration is in early October and will be announced in the Synopsis, in the Tuesday envelopes and on signs at school. Kilgour Basketball player registration form download MS Word PDF     Costs · A participation fee of approximately $45 is due at registration. The fee helps defer league, referee and equipment costs. Registrations cannot be processed unless accompanied by the participation fee. Information on need-based scholarship assistance is below. · A uniform (reversible jersey and shorts) must be purchased from the Kilgour Sports Boosters at a cost of approximately $25. Parents are encouraged to order sizes that will allow for use over multiple seasons. Basketball rules require that all jerseys be identified with a unique number. Scholarships Kilgour Sports Boosters is pleased to provide need-based player scholarships. Please contact the KSB treasurer for more information. Applications are held in the strictest of confidence. Coaches Parents may volunteer to serve as a head or assistant coach by checking the appropriate box on the player registration form. We also encourage coaches to contact the basketball coordinators at the time of registration to ensure we know that you wish to coach. Each team requires a minimum of two coaches.
