Sports Boosters is a non-profit parent organization dedicated to providing opportunities
for all Kilgour students to participate in athletics. The Kilgour Sports Boosters
board supervises school sports and sporting events, as well as fund-raising activities
to better support player participation and scholarships, parent coaches, teams
and sports facilities, uniforms and equipment. Our goals are to: |

give every child the opportunity to participate in sports;

good sportsmanship in a positive team environment;

| | - help
coaches teach the fundamentals of their sport; and
|
| | - uphold
the recreational status of the sport, including equal playing time

Sports Boosters Membership |

Kilgour Sports Boosters board is composed of volunteer officers and sports, facilities
and event coordinators (or chairs). Board members are elected at the spring annual
meeting (Sports Recognition Night). The board meets quarterly (June, September,
January and March) to review administration, finances, sports activities, special
events and policies. The board also publishes a two-page newsletter within the
school three times a year. |

Kilgour parents sometimes form teams in other sports not associated with Kilgour
Sports Boosters. KSB is examining the addition of other "official" sports
upon Kilgour's return to its new, larger gymnasium on Herschel Avenue. |
